Coffee Table and Traffic the Cat

This is a coffee table in my living room that is faced on three sides with white formica. The fourth side is undistinguished wood as the table really was meant to face the wall and not be a coffee table at all. So, I painted the wooden face with acrylics. When I was photographing it, my cat, Traffic, got on top of the table without my knowing it. When she showed up in the photographs, I decided to leave her in to give the photo scale and dimension.

Office employees form a bouquet in the vase in this painting. Two have wilted. I've burned out in jobs before, the equivalent, I think, of a wilted employee in the office bouquet.

From my only Carl Jung "big dream" ever. I was walking into a mortuary with these figures welcoming me. A voice seemingly in the room with me where I slept said in a booming whisper that filled the room, "Watch out." I awakened, but couldn't bring myself to turn over to see if someone was in the room with me. I was going through a divorce and meeting new people. I took it as a warning that not all of these people were friends. Or are dreams just neurons misfiring?
